A Cry In the Dark Shows Meryl Streep's Acting Chops

I was still a kid when this story broke out and even when the movie was released, all we knew about it was this baby who was eaten by a dingo and whose mother was sent to jail! I was lucky to finally see the full movie version today at Star Movies! And it's really gripping! Meryl Streep's Australian accent is perfect and she really embodied the character of Lindsey! It was chilling to watch her but if she's really like that, who are we to judge her? The scene where they describe how the baby was killed was not easy to listen and watch to so it was really surprising to see Meryl's character just laugh it off. I'm not surprised the Australian public had a feeling of mass hysteria against her! But I'm still happy that justice was done to her. Nowhere in the movie or in her character do you see her as a baby killer. I'm also surprised the people who investigated her case never noticed that! But this was in the 80s and profiling then was not very popular. And to make matters worse, DNA testing was still in its infancy. That would have saved a lot of trouble for Lindsey and her family!
